May 7 (TheLedger) - The Sri Lankan athletics contingent returned from the Asian Games in Nagoya with three golds, four silvers, and six bronzes — the country's strongest table in athletics since the 2002 Busan Games.

Standout performances included Tharushi Karunaratne's 800m gold, a 4x400m relay silver, and a national record from javelin thrower Sumedha Ranasinghe.
